2016 Jeep Compass RRO 2 1/8 lift rear strut issue

I'm putting a 2 1/8 RRO lift on my 2016 Compass and the front went fine, but the rear struts just won't seat. I already installed the spacers but I can't seem to get the strut lined up with the mounting holes, no matter what I try. Anyone run into this and have a trick to make it fit?

Sometimes a little jack or pry bar to slightly compress the suspension helps line up the rear struts. Make sure the spacers are seated fully and everything is aligned before trying to bolt it in
