Weird EVIC message

My brother says, "Wow, its getting so warm in here I’m starting to feel a little tired" Right after that the EVIC screen randomly shows up with a message "If youre feeling drowsy how about stopping for coffee?" We were driving the 2024 Compass with the heat cranked up and couldnt get it to pop up again no matter what we tried. How did that even happen? It felt almost too perfect like the car knew exactly what we were thinking.

Maybe it picked up on some driver fatigue cues or maybe the internal sensors detected something off, some cars these days are getting surprisingly smart with that drowsy driver alert stuff.

Haha, that's the Drowsy Driver Detection keeping an eye on you, kind of like a digital backseat driver. It notices how you steer and if you'v been driving for a while, so maybe the heat made it a bit moer alert.Did you guys start nodding off before that warning came up?

Skynet is becoming self conscious :)

Just kidding, it's the systems. Drowsy driver detection and driver detection alert work by monitoring the driver and patterns and determining if he's focused or not. It relies on tons of sensors and some very smart programming to make those predictions. The message was just coincidence, the car isn't listening to you, probably :)

The only way you'll get the same thing to happen is if you or your brother sit down to drive very tired, which I'm not saying you should do, just explaining the conditions.

Yeah, that totally makes sense. It sounds like it's just the sensors and algorithms doing their thing, right? It's pretty cool how all that tech works together
