2019 Compass remote start issue

My wife got a 2019 Compass its got this remote start issue, if we don't get in before it times out, the engine shuts off but the blower and lights stay on. After that, we can't use the key to start it until it eventually resets on its own, sometimes taking up to half an hour. Dealer flashed the PCM, but no luck so far. Curious if anyone else has experienced this.

That's definitely not normal. The fact that the dealer just flashed the PCM, and that didn't help, tells me they might not be digging deep enough.
This sounds less like a simple PCM issue and more like a glitch in the WIN module (Wireless Ignition Node) or possibly even the BCM (Body Control Module). Those are the brains behind the remote start and key functions. Has the dealer looked into those specifically or just done generic flashes?

Yeah, that's a weird one but I've heard of similar remote start glitches on the compass actually. It's like the system doesn't fully hand control back to the key after timeout and it was traced to a faulty RF hub or key fob module from what I've come across, not just the PCM

If I'm not mistaken, the engine turning off is a feature, but everything else is a problem. With the dealer aside, have you takein it to get a second opinion?

Just generic flashes as far is know. This makes so much sense, thank you
