HVAC controls get stuck

The HVAC controls on my 2022 Compass are acting weird. So I can move the temperature and vent selectors fine from cold to hot or from vent to feet, but when I try to go back the other way, they just get stuck. I can't get it to move from hot to cold or from feet to vent without a lot of fiddling. I've heard some older models had similar issues with the blend door and mode selector actuators, but I'm hoping there's a simpler fix than replacing them. Has anyone had a similar experience or know what the deal might be?

Could be a faulty blend door or mode actuator starting to stick. Try giving your HVAC system a quick reset by disconnecting the battery for a bit. If the problem sticks around, use a scan tool to see if any actuator faults pop up.
