I've been enjoying my 2019 Jeep Compass Limited for a week or so. Just a quick query, though: what is Uconnect exactly? The app doesn't seem to do much, even though I downloaded it. Is it primarily for more recent models, or am I missing somethin? I would be grateful for any guidance or reccommendations

I'm kinda new to Uconnect myself and from what I hear, it's supposed to help with stuff like navigation and remote controls, but maybe some features don't work great on older models like yours?

Uconnect handles bt, media, calls, climate controls, stuff like that and it should work completely in the car with no resctricions. For your phone, you'll need a subscription

Yeah, its the jeep's infotainment and connectivity system, handles media, navigation (if equipped), and things like bluetooth and voice commands, the app side of it gives remote features like lock/unlock, start, vehicle health reports, but only if its equipped with the right hardware and an active subscription and some 2019s didn't come with full remote services unless it was factory optioned in
